Inti Mestana / Misa / Misha

$145.00

Out of stock

The cheerful reds and bright colors are nicely balanced by the wide bands of soft charcoal. Elizabeth Paucar Espinoza  created this outside her home in the village of Kiku (Quico) in Q’eros. The outer bands are in multiple shades of red, which she wove with subtle two-tone stripes, which requires advanced skills. The colorful yarns in the Inti symbols express the sacred Inti of Light at different times of day. This Inti bands in this textile are somewhat raised, giving it a sense of depth and time.   25 x 24 inches. 64 x 61 cm.  Your purchase helps the weaver, her family, and her village build food security and schools and helps to preserve the beautiful Q’ero culture.  NOTE:  colors are softer and more muted than might appear on your screen.
