The artist created many shades of burgundy, soft rose, and wine using the red dye of the cochineal. Justina Apaza Samata carded the alpaca fiber, hand spun the yarns, dyed them, then wove them in a laborious process to create this wonderful mesa cloth of distinction.  24.5 x 32 inches.  62 x 82 cm.

The pinks are more muted and subtle than appear in the images.
