Lucia Gerillo Samata of Hapu Q’eros created this textile with rhythmic series of color blocks to represent natural balance in Pachamama. The four bands of color evoke the timeless connection to Pachamama and the people’s reciprocal relationship of ayni to all of the natural and spiritual world. This lovely textile was created in Q’eros with traditional weaving texhniques. Lucia knelt at her loom on the ground outside her thatched-roof and stone-walled home under the watchful gaze of Apu Mama Rosa. Your new mesa cloth measures 26 x 23.5 inches (67 x 60 cm). Your purchase helps the weaver Lucia, her family, and her community in projects that uplift all the people in her community.
