This traditional style mesa cloth is woven with distinctive Chunchu and Inti symbols, and is made of 100% natural spun (not dyed) alpaca fibers. The soft colors used, brown, tan, black, and white are the natural color of fibers sheered from the weaver’s herd. Lucia Samata Machaca is a master weaver in her community of Ccochamarca. She created this beautiful, large ceremonial cloth that measures 30.5″ x 27″ 78cm x 68.5cm. Your purchase includes a photo of Lucia holding the mesa, and helps support the weaver and her community. All aspects of every weaving express Q’ero life as strongly connected to the agricultural fields of Pachamama, the Apus, and all beings.
