Distinctive Inti symbols of sacred sunrise and sunset evoke the calm beauty of the Andean region.  The wide bands of growing fields in black and deep red frame the sacred symbols with the firm confidence of life in relationship with Pachamama. All aspects of every textile reflect Q’ero life as strongly connected to the agricultural fields of Pachamama, the Apus, and all beings. The weaver knelt on the ground in front of her home in Kiku (Quico) village, leaning over her loom for many days to produce classic textile.  32.5 x 25 inches.  83 x 64 cm.   NOTE:  Colors are darker and more muted than appear in the photos.
