This finely woven traditional mesa cloth features four beautiful bands of symbols of the sacred Inti, the inner light and sun. All fibers are the natural colors of alpaca: shades of browns, charcoal, tans, cream, black, and gray. Weaver Gregoria Sucle Apaza lives in the highest village in Q’eros at almost 16,000 feet. She created this with exquisite harmony and balance to reflect the complimentary duality of male-female in wide bands of soft red-borwns and charcoal with bright Inti high noon suns. The hand spun yarns are soft and even, and the overall effect is harmony and balance. 24 x 29.5 inches. 61 x 75 cm. A photo of Gregoria is included with your purchase.
