Inti Soft Alpaca Mesa Cloth

1 in stock

This lovely traditional mesa cloth features four beautiful bands of symbols of the sacred Inti, the inner light and sun.  The bright pinks are softened by the balance of naturally dyed dusty green and shades of maroon red.  All yarns are alpaca fiber, giving your mesa cloth a soft “hand” that can be folded nicely. Weaver Agostina Gerillo Machacca hand-spun the yarns and spent many weeks weaving on her knees on the ground outside her home in Q’eros under the watchful care of the Apus. She created this to reflect the complimentary duality of male-female in wide bands of soft maroon-reds and black with bright Inti high noon suns. The hand spun yarns are soft and even, and the overall effect is harmony and balance. 84  x 26 inches. 71 x 67 cm. A photo Agostina is included with your purchase.
