The unusual colors of this alpaca mesa cloth speak of the sacred earth and our human connection to Pachamama.   Young weaver Yesica Samata Gerillo wove symbols of the chunchu dancers in narrow bands using natural alpaca hair colors and natural plant dyes. The subtle earth shades make a beautiful effect.  The chunchu dancers represent the coming return of Inkarri, which signals the renewal of the great Inka civilzation and its inheritors, the Q’ero people.  26.5 x 22.5 in.  67 x 57 cm.
