Stunning diamond patterns highlight the sacred Inti (sun/light) symbol with small diamonds of the sacred Chili flower in this nearly square mesa cloth. It is unusually soft and pliable for folding, yet the weave is steady throughout due to the fine skills of the master weaver, Marcosa Flores of Ccochamoko, in the Q’eros Nation.
The images show Marcosa with her hsuband, Guillermo Sonqo and their friend, Santos.
25 x 23 inches. 64 x 59 cm.
This video shows weavers at work creating these exquisite textiles in their villages.
