Please help us fund the purchase of high quality breeding alpacas to improve the herds in the Q’ero villages. This project will provide a means for each village to raise baby alpacas to sell for income to benefit the entire village. Also, the better quality hair from strong bloodlines will help the weavers produce finer textiles for sale, bringing more revenue to the Q’ero communities. These alpacas will be cooperatively owned by the entire Hapu Q’ero community, which will invest the proceeds in community-based projects to benefit everyone.
Goal: $8000 for 40 breeding alpacas.
