A wonderful table runner full of grace and peace. This runner features an unusual combination of traditional sacred symbols of the sacred Chili flower in the headdress of the mythical Ch’unchu figure, which is the Inkarri who will return to help the Andean people return to their former greatness. Benita Apaza Chura is an elder and highly accomplished weaver of the Ccachamoqo community in Hatun Q’eros.  Benita hand spun soft alpaca fiber into fine even yarns.  She used the variety of natural fiber colors in various shades of brown, tan, grey,  and cream.  63 x 15.5 inches.   157 x  39 cm.  Your purchase includes a photo of Benita holding this textile.
