Colorful Inti Llikya / Mesa Cloth

$155.00

In stock

This distinguished mesa cloth / llikya contrasts dark bands of black and deep red with the clear, bright symbols of Inti. This textile features four bands of Inti, the sacred sun and spiritual light.  Every aspect of the textile reflects the relationship of the Q’ero people with Pachamama, the Apus, living beings, and the entire universe — a harmonious relationship of Ayni of mutual interdependence, connections, and reciprocity. The strong patterns of Inti (sacred Light and Sun) express sunrise, noon, sunset, and midnight. This soft, beautiful textile was woven in Hapu under the watchful gaze of Apu Mama Rosa, and measures 21.5 x 29 inches.  54.6 x 73.7 cm.  Your purchase helps the weaver, her family, and her community build schools and improve food security – while supporting their beautiful culture.
