Magnificent ceremonial poncho featuring complex designs of sacred ch’unchu dancers. Ch’unchus represent the coming return of Inkarri to elevate the indigenous tribes of the Andes to their former elevated status and way of life. This poncho is very tightly woven by expert weaver Agostina Gerillo Machacca of Ccochamarka village in the Q’eros Nation, who worked for months to complete it. Her husband is a paq’o and wore this poncho for ceremony. 36 wide x 32 long inches. [91 x 81 cm]
