The soft “hand” of this pure alpaca textile makes it easy to fold and a joy to touch. Each panel of the mesa cloth features two rows of the sacred Chunchu, which expresses how Inkarri will return to uplift the former greatness of the Inka through his descendants, the Q’ero people. The Chunchu figures are woven with soft red and green yarns dyed with natural vegetal dyes and framed with subtle yarns of soft golds, greens, red, maroon, and mauve pink. A lovely mesa cloth created by Martina Phacsi Apaza, a fine weaver of Q’eros Nation, at her home in the remote Q’ero region.   27.5 x 23 inches. 70.5 x 57 cm.
