Soft Alpaca Mesa / Lliklla with Inkarri symbols

1 in stock

The figures of the Chunchu dancers in four bands on this lliyka represent the coming return of Inkarri, the great Inka who is believed to return to restore the Andean culture to its former greatness.   Roxana Samata Apasa created this beautifully woven textile.   Roxana wove this mesa cloth kneeling on the ground outside her home in Q’eros above 12,000 feet in elevation under the watchful protection of Apu Mama Rosa. Your purchase helps her family and her community build a more sustainable life and supports traditional Q’ero culture.  28.5 x 26.5 inches. 73 x 67 cm.   A photo of Roxana holding your new mesa cloth is included with your purchase.  Note:  The soft green bands may appear to be on the teal side on some monitors.  The color is, however, a soft green.
