Paqos and traditional Q’ero use this kind of ch’uspa, a special fur bag made of an alpaca that was miscarried or stillborn. It is used for carrying ceremonial objects, and they keep it wrapped in a carrying cloth. Coca leaves are carried in the same bundle.

This chus’pa was given in gratitude for the schools built by Heart Walk Foundation from funds raised in this online store.  From Lucia Gerillo Samata of Yanaruma village in the Hapu Q’eros Nation. Photo of Lucia holding the chus’pa is included with your purchase.
