This masterful, earth-toned coca bag is woven entirely with natural colored alpaca fibers (no dyes), hand-spun into fine yarn. It is large enough to hold a mesa, a journal, and several ceremonial items, such as rattles. It is decorated with Inti symbols that evoke wisdom and strength. Justina Samata Apasa spun fine yarns to weave this very traditional medicine bag. She wove the bag outside her stone house in her village of Hapu under the watchful care of the Apus. 14 tall x 14 wide plus strap. 35.5 x 35.5 cm plus strap.
