Thick and warm, this style of lliklla is worn by the women in Q’eros. It is large and beautiful, and very unique with ultra fine Inti stamps inside of the larger Inti patterns. It was woven by a weaver in the community of Hapu, and was purchased during the pandemic. The large multicolored symbols framed by thin bands of black and red create a visual illusion of both moving and static energy. This lliklla is very powerful, large, and is bordered by a yellow hem on all sides. It is so excellent it could be framed, as the bold contrasting colors would make a lovely wall hanging.
34 x 27 inches. 87 x 69 cm.
