This handsome all natural alpaca woven mesa boasts symbols in the inner and outer rows that represent “saqas tika” — the furrows, fields and flowering plants — in beautiful balance. The two panels reflect the sacred complementary duality of male and female as lived in the Andes of Peru. Catalina Apasa Quispe from the community of Hapu created this lovely mesa cloth under the watchful gaze of Apu Mama Rosa. Your purchase helps the Q’ero Nation build a more sustainable life and supports traditional Q’ero culture. The textile is finely woven and nearly square, measuring 27 x 26 inches, 68.5 x 66 cm.
