Four rows of sacred symbols express the Q’ero people’s intimate relationship with the earth and with all aspects of the natural and spiritual world. The colorful woven symbols in the inner rows represent “saqas tika” — the furrows, fields and flowering plants — in beautiful balance. The two panels reflect the sacred complementary duality of male and female as lived in the Andes of Peru.  Lucia Gerillo Samata created this lovely mesa cloth under the watchful gaze of Apu Mama Rosa in her village of Yanaruma in Q’eros. Your purchase helps the Q’ero Nation build a more sustainable life and supports traditional Q’ero culture.  27 x 25.5 inches.  69 x 65 cm.
