Saqas Tiki Q’ero Mestana / Llikya

Out of stock

Four rows of sacred symbols express the Q’ero people’s intimate relationship with the earth and with all aspects of the natural and spiritual world. The colorful woven symbols in the inner and outer rows represent “saqas tika” — the furrows, fields and flowering plants — in beautiful balance. The two panels reflect the sacred complementary duality of male and female as lived in the Andes of Peru.  A Q’ero weaver created this lovely mesa cloth under the watchful gaze of Apu Mama Rosa in her village of Quico in Q’eros. Your purchase helps the Q’ero Nation build a more sustainable life and supports traditional Q’ero culture. 29 x 30.5 inches, 74 x 77.5 cm.
