This ceremonial coca bag, chuspa, is very sturdy and features bright Inti motif framed by natural colored bands woven from pure alpaca fibers (no dyes),. It is large enough to hold a mesa, a journal, and several ceremonial items, such as rattles. It is decorated with Inti symbols that evoke wisdom and strength. Flora Apasa Samata spun wove this very traditional medicine bag. She wove the bag outside her stone house in her village of Quico under the watchful care of the Apus. 13 tall x 14 wide plus strap. 33 x 35.5 cm plus strap.
