Stunning Saqas Tika Mestana

Out of stock

This precisely woven mestana features soft natural colors with a sewn hem around the border. It depicts four bands of “saqas tika” — the furrows, fields and flowering plants — positioned in beautiful balance with the black and brown fields representing the uncultivated pampa. All aspects express the Q’ero people’s intimate relationship with Pachamama, the earth,  and the natural and spiritual worlds. Q’ero textiles are like visual poetry expressing the Q’ero people’s strong connection to Pachamama, the Apus, and all beings. Measures 20.5 x 26 inches.  52 x 66 cm.
