Stunning Saqas Tika Mestana

$200.00

In stock

This vibrant ceremonial cloth features saqas t’ikas in bright colors with a yellow hem around the border. It depicts four bands of “saqas t’ika” — the furrows, fields and flowering plants — positioned in beautiful balance with the black and red fields representing the uncultivated pampa. All aspects express the Q’ero people’s intimate relationship with Pachamama, the earth, and the natural and spiritual worlds. Q’ero textiles are like visual poetry expressing the Q’ero people’s strong connection to Pachamama, the Apus, and all beings. Measures 28.5 x 30.5 inches.  72.5 x 78 cm.
