This handsome mesa cloth is reminiscent of the unkus or ponchos worn by male Q’ero members. Mariela Lunasco Quispe is a young weaver who shows precision in spinning and weaving detailed ch’unchu symbols and straight fine lines. All Q’ero weavings are visual poetry that express the Q’ero people’s intimate and reciprocal relationship of AYNI with all elements of the universe. The fine red and white lines are found worn on male ponchos, the brown is spun from natural colored alpaca fibers. Mariela created this mesa in her home in Quico, Q’eros. This mesa cloth is soft and folds easily, measuring   26 x 23.5 inches.  66 x 60 cm.  Your purchase includes a photo of Mariela holding your new mesa cloth.
