This large lliklla cloth features the q’ocha design, which is a predominant motif in Q’ero textiles. The Quechua word q’ocha refers to a lake, mountain lagoon, or pool. It can even refer to the ocean. This ceremonial cloth is made from natural dyes. It has bright contrasting bands of orange and green, pink and black. The lavender border gives it a sweet femininity. It is very large, nearly square, and folds nicely. All Q’ero weavings are like visual poetry that express the Q’ero people’s intimate and reciprocal relationship of AYNI with all elements of the universe. This sweet ceremonial llikya cloth measures 30.5 x 29.5 inches. 77 x 75 cm.
